Depending on the inspection cycle and the replacement timing, Fuji OTLA can precisely predict how long an oil-filled transformer can continue to be used safely and when to consider replacements.

How is this done? 1 liter of oil is extracted from the transformer and the oil is subjected to analysis of its characteristics. Furfural analysis using structured neural networks provide the average degree of polymerisation and prediction of the remaining life.
